Orthopedic Physical Therapy

If you are you experiencing an acute or chronic orthopedic condition, injury, or surgery that is limiting daily function, recreational activities, or high level athletic performance, we’re here for you. We’re here to help you get back to doing what you love with less pain.

We also specialize in wellness, performance, and injury prevention services. Let’s work together to improve your everyday function, athletic performance, or identify areas to improve upon to reduce future injury risk.

Throughout your physical therapy experience we will work together to develop a realistic treatment plan designed decrease your aches and pains, maximize performance, and help you reach your goals.

Our favorite part? We will almost never tell you that you have to stop doing what you love. We will use manual therapy techniques, activity and sport modifications, and education to help you keep doing what you love while we work on your recovery.

Orthopedic physical therapy services offered in-clinic as well as virtually if you are in the state of MA.

Pelvic Health & Pregnant/ Postpartum Care

Too often women feel that their pelvic symptoms are something they just need to live with. We’re here to tell you that there are options. Our ortho-pelvic physical therapists consider the potential contributions of the pelvic floor in all of our clients, as well as specialize in examining and treating women’s health diagnoses.

Allison specifically is trained by the Herman Wallace Institute in internal and external pelvic floor examination and treatment techniques, so you can feel sure that you are getting the highest level of care.

We can help to educate you on your symptoms and provide effective treatment for pelvic pain or pressure, incontinence/leaking with exercise and/or daily activities, pain with intercourse, prolapse related concerns.

In addition, we work with the pregnant and postpartum population on safe exercise while pregnant and after delivery, prepping for birth, vaginal and c-section recovery, and minimizing effects of a diastasis recti.

We want you to know that you don’t have to just deal with these symptoms, and likely, just doing kegels is not the answer!

Performance Gait Assessments

Whether you are a recreational runner or training for a marathon, a detailed running assessment is an excellent way to help reduce your injury risk, improve efficiency, and keep you running for years and years.

Geared towards the healthy non-injured runner, a performance gait assessment includes video analysis, assessment of your strength, mobility, and neuromuscular coordination. You will be provided with a full written report that includes edited photos, recommendations for preventative exercises, footwear, and training modifications.

Recovery Session

Recovering from activity is essential for continued training and progress. A recovery session at Stride uses manual therapy interventions such as cupping, massage, dry needling, IASTM (scraping, blading), and stretching/mobility work to help reduce soreness and decrease recovery time.

Sessions available to active patients who have had an evaluation or follow up session in the past 6 months.

Virtual Options

A virtual consultation will help guide you to feel best in your body. The session will begin with a conversation around your symptoms and concerns, then our doctors will observe and access any needed areas including strength, coordination, motion, and gait pattern. The goal of the session is to determine potential contributing factors to your symptoms, as well as to recommend strategies, exercises, and resources that may be beneficial to you.
